Abstract

A pestiferous species of Mindarus (Hemiptera: Aphididae: Mindarinae) presents challenges for the cultivation and conservation of the endangered Guatemalan fir, Abies guatemalensis Rehder. The aphid, Mindarus guatemalensis n. sp., is described.
