Current Herpetology is the official journal of the Herpetological Society of Japan, and publishes original research articles, short notes, and reviews on biology and diversity of amphibians and reptiles in any regions of the world. Begun in 2000, the journal continues Acta Herpetologica Japonica (1964-1971) and Japanese Journal of Herpetology (1972-1999).
