*Evan R. Larson is a father, husband, teacher, scientist, and enthusiast of wild places. He holds degrees in Environmental Science (Willamette University; BA) and geography (University of Tennessee-Knoxville; MS and the University of Minnesota; PhD). As a Professor and Chair in the Department of Environmental Sciences & Society at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, Evan uses tree rings to investigate environment history including past patterns of climate, disturbance, and human connections to place while teaching courses that blur the lines between physical and cultural geography.

***L. Lynnette Dornak is an Associate Professor and GIS Director in the Department of Environmental Sciences & Society at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Her research focuses on how species use the landscape, specifically regarding human land use and landcover change over time. She holds degrees in Geography (PhD) and Biology (MS, BS).
****Chris A. Underwood holds degrees in Environmental Health (BS) from East Tennessee State University and Geography from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (MS and PhD). He is a Professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences & Society at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
*****Christian D. K. Gronewold holds a BS in Geography and a BA in Social Sciences with a History emphasis, both from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. With a strong foundation in understanding human societies and their environments, he has a keen interest in historical geography. Christian combines this academic background with acquired skills to explore and share stories as a documentary filmmaker for a public broadcasting series.
******James L. Berglund is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. His research focuses on groundwater behavior in karst regions, such as short- and long-term variations in water chemistry at springs. He holds degrees in Geoscience (PhD), Geospatial Science in Geology (MS), and Geology (BS).
*******Ryan T. Schmitz holds an AAS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Morrison Institute of Technology, a BS in Biology from University of Wisconsin-Platteville, and an MS in Wildlife Biology from Fort Hays State University. He currently manages Eagle Valley Nature Preserve which has focused on raptor ecology and behavior through satellite tracking bald and golden eagles, winter night roosting dynamics of bald eagles, and raptor migration.
********Brett A. Mandernack managed Kohler Co. and Kohler Trust for Preservation's Eagle Valley Nature Preserve in Southwest Wisconsin from February 1987 through early May 2023, is now semi-retired, lives on-site, and continues various multi-year raptor research projects and landscape restoration and management efforts on the preserve. He holds an MS in Biology with Wildlife emphasis and a BS in Biology, both from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
