1 September 2009 Executive Committee Meeting Minutes

At the March 5, 2009 executive committee meeting held by conference call at 2:00 pm, the following actions were taken.

  1. The minutes of Oct 10, 2008 were approved.

  2. The regional vice presidents gave reports on the status of the districts.

  3. The National Convention 2010 is scheduled for May 19–23, 2010 at Fort Lewis College Durango, Colorado, Epsilon Upsilon Chapter. Possible field trips and estimated prices are:

    • Mesa Verde National Park $45

    • Narrow Gauge Railroad to Silverton $75

    • Mountain Ecology Field Trip $20

    • Whitewater Rafting $40

    • Ouray Hot Springs

    • Bachelor Mine Tour

  4. The Bertholf Award winners are:

    • Academic Year 2007–2008 Bertholf Award,

    • Angelo State Univ., Epsilon Sigma

    • 2nd Place: Hastings College, Pi Omicron

    • 3rd Place: College of New Jersey, Chi Upsilon

    • Outstanding Chapter

    • Interamerican University, Zeta Beta

    • Gannon University, Theta Omega

  5. New Chapters approved by the executive committee are:

    • Misericordia University

    • Richard Stockton College

    • Stevenson University

    • Park University

    • University of Iowa

    • Southern Nazarene University

    • Randolf College

    • Bridgewater College

    • Winston-Salem State University

    • Converse College

    • Tougaloo College

    • Springhill College

  6. Chapter installed:

    • Univ of Texas/Kingsville
