Abstract

Sansevieria newtoniana T. G. Forrest, new species, is remarkable for the combination of long leaves with a long perianth. This is one of several features that distinguish it from S. dawei Stapf. S. newtoniana is found in three locations in central Uganda. All illustrations by the author.
