1 April 2017 New Species of Heredius Marsh 2002 (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Doryctinae) from Caatinga Biome, Brazil, with an Identification Key for Species

Abstract

A new species of Heredius Marsh (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) is described from Brazil. Heredius assu Castro & Penteado-Dias sp. n. differs from the other two known species mainly having head and most flagellomeres black, malar space about 0.2 times eye height, scutellum and propodeum acinose, first and second metasomal tergite carinate-lacunose. A key to the described species of Heredius Marsh is provided.
