Abstract

Marstaller, R. 2010. The Didymodonto vinealis-Tortuletum muralis — an hitherto overlooked bryophyte association in Central Germany. — Herzogia 23: 151–157.

From the wine-growing district Saale-Unstrut in southern part of Saxony Anhalt and the neighbouring parts of Thuringia and Lower Saxony the basiphytic association Didymodonto vinealis-Tortuletum muralis is described. It is an saxicolous, photophytic, xerophytic, moderately basiphytic community with an urbany character. Syntaxonomy, sociological structure (with 2 vegetation tables), ecological behaviour and distribution of this community are described.
