Abstract

Guo, Z., 2020. Evaluation of financial ability of port listed companies based on entropy weight TOPSIS model. In: Yang, Y.; Mi, C.; Zhao, L., and Lam, S. (eds.), Global Topics and New Trends in Coastal Research: Port, Coastal and Ocean Engineering. Journal of Coastal Research, Special Issue No. 103, pp. 182–185. Coconut Creek (Florida), ISSN 0749-0208.

In order to evaluate and compare the financial capacity of port listed companies in China scientifically, the entropy value and weight of the evaluation indexes are determined by using the TOPSIS Model of entropy weight. The 2018 data is selected to conduct an empirical study on the financial capacity of 19 port superior companies. The results show that: affected by regional economic level and other factors, the overall level of debt paying ability of port listed companies is good, the profitability gap is large, the overall level of operation ability is poor, the development ability is unbalanced, and the cash flow management needs to be strengthened urgently. The financial ability evaluation model of port listed companies constructed by the research institute is more accurate and credible, which can provide important reference for stakeholders to evaluate enterprises and carry out decision-making.
