Abstract

Meluchopetalops nigrolineatus n. sp., assigned to the coreid tribe Acanthocephalini is described from Colombia, Suriname, and Venezuela as the second member of the genus. New distributional records for Meluchopetalops banausus Breddin are given, and an illustration of the new species and a key to the known species are provided.
