Abstract

Ferrisia gilli Gullan is a polyphagous mealybug in the family Pseudococcidae (Hemiptera) that attacks a wide range of plants in several families, but little is known of its biology and behavior. We provided herein a general overview of plants affected by the insect and documented the species attacking tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) plants in a greenhouse at Fresno, CA.
