Abstract

The purpose of this application, under Article 23.9.3 of the Code, is to conserve the widely used pseudoscorpion generic name Neobisium Chamberlin, 1930 by giving it precedence over the genus-group name Blothrus Schiödte, 1847, which is currently used as a subgenus or synonym of Neobisium. The name Neobisium is in widespread use for a group of pseudoscorpions found in the western Palaearctic region.
