The Commission has conserved the usage of the family name latridiidae Erichson, 1842 by giving it precedence over the senior name corticariidae Curtis, 1829, and conserved the current usage of the widely used name Corticaria Marsham, 1802 by designation of Corticaria ferruginea Marsham, 1802 as the type species.
