Abstract

A short history of Amillarus Thomson, 1857 (Cerambycidae: Lamiinae: Agapanthiini) is provided. Aphies Dejean, 1835 is considered as an unavailable genus name. A lectotype is designated for Amillarus erythroderus Chevrolat, 1861. A short comment on Amillarus secundus (Tippmann, 1951) is provided. Trichogrammopsis ruficollis Breuning, 1948 is considered as a new junior synonym of Amillarus singularis Aurivillius, 1922. Amillarus apicalis nigroampliatus Breuning, 1974 is provisionally kept as distinct from A. apicalis apicalis Thomson, 1857.
