Abstract

Some methods currently used to extract teeth from live-captured deer for aging may not adequately address pain relief. We discuss characteristics of currently available pharmacological agents with respect to analgesic properties and describe a quick, simple, and effective process that mitigates pain for extracting teeth from live-captured deer.
