The type locality of the recently published Dryopetalon stenocarpum Al-Shehbaz was incorrectly cited in the protologue. The correct type locality data are provided here.
The type locality of the recently published Dryopetalon stenocarpum Al-Shehbaz (2013) was given as: “Holotype: México, Coahuila, Mpio. Viesca, Viesca, cerca de Cañón de las Viboras, 25°14′43″N, 102°48′9″W, 1233 m, with Larrea tridentata, Agave lechuguilla and Fouquieria splendens, 21 Sep 2008, S. González 7473A, J. Tena, A. Vanzela, M. C. González & A. Mercado (MO; isotype: CIIDIR).”
However, in recent e-mail communications with M. Socorro Gonzalez-Elizondo (director of CIIDIR), who collected the species with his colleagues, I was informed that a technician made an error in placing the wrong label with the material that was sent to MO and on which D. stenocarpum was based. The correct type locality data should be as follows:

Holotype: México, Durango, Mpio. Mapimí, Puente de Ojuela, aprox. 0.5 km de la entrada al puente, 25°49′N, 103°49′W, 1200 m, matorral xerófilo, 21 Sep 2008, S. González s.n., J. Tena, A. Vanzela, M. C. González & F. Mercado (MO6421669; isotypes: ANSM, CIIDIR41391, ENCB, IEB, MEXU, MO6421670, SLPM).
