Abstract

Octopus hubbsorum Berry, 1953 occurs in a wide region of the oriental tropical Pacific. This is the principal target species in the octopus fisheries in Mexico. A female with abnormally bifurcated second arm was collected from an artisanal fishery in Puerto Angel, Oaxaca, Mexico.
