The genus Microcalicium is reported as new to Japan with one species, M. arenarium. Phaeocalicium flabelliforme is reported as new to Asia (Japan). Chaenothecopsis savonica is reported as new to Japan and Sphinctrina tubaeformis as new to Hokkaido.
