Abstract

A new beetle species Notocupes pingi sp. nov. (Coleoptera: Cupedidae) is described from the well-known fossil site of Daohugou. With more than fifty species, Notocupes is the biggest Mesozoic genus of beetles but had not been previously found at this locality.
