She is a costume and textile historian, and her research explores, among other things, the relationship between the changing roles of American women and the clothing they devised for sport and exercise in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
^**Margaret S. Ewing (msewing@okstate.edu) is a professor in the Zoology Department, Oklahoma State University, Stillwater OK 74078. She began her professional life as an aquatic ecologist and later turned to the interactions between protozoan parasites and their freshwater fish hosts. Her research currently focuses on the history of science, particularly the experience of women in aquatic ecology.
