Chlorophytum cremnophilum (Anthericaceae) is a cremnophilous species only known from the Grootrivierspoort and the Kougarivier in the Eastern Cape is named. This new species is at once recognised by its drooping stems of up to a meter and more in length, usually sparingly dichotomously branched, with the apical rosettes turning upwards.
