Harvest Moon is a female, winter-hardy seabuckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides L. ssp. mongolica) cultivar released by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC), Agroforestry Development Centre (ADC). It is an early-maturing relatively thornless seabuckthorn with reddish-orange berries. The berries are sour-sweet, large with long pedicels, which facilitates hand harvesting. Harvest Moon is adapted for fruit orchards in the Canadian Prairies and northern Great Plains of the United States. The name Harvest Moon was chosen as it represents the large reddish-orange oblong berries characteristic of the cultivar.
