The name Crotalaria chaco-serranensis H. Bach & Fortunato, a new name for Crotalaria incana var. australis Griseb. (Leguminosae) (Argentinean Chaco region), is validated and lectotypified. A synopsis of the local species of Crotalaria L. is presented.
