Abstract

A new species of Cleonymus Latreille 1809 (Hymenoptera: Pteromalidae: Cleonyminae) from Iran is described and illustrated. The species was reared from Orthotomicus erosus (Wollaston, 1857) (Coleoptera: Curculionidae: Scolytinae). With the description of this new species, a total of 44 Cleonymus species have so far been described.
