This study aimed to evaluate the fluctuation of infestation with Varroa mites on honeybee colonies. Research was carried out at the apiary of beekeeping research department at Dokki, Giza, Governorate, from March to December 2019 and January to February 2020. Infestation percentages reached 18.39, 16.73. 17.86 and 19.73 in broods and reached 12.53, 10.8, 13.0 and 14.27 in the same seasons on adult bees, respectively. Mean number of units covered with bees reached 8.0, 8.83, 7.17 and 4.66 per colony during spring, summer, autumn and winter, respectively. Adult females of Apis mellifera infected in Egypt were collected and examined by SEM. Varroa destructor was found to have a markedly different shape among the local populations (Giza, Behera and Benisuef)

The present paper deals with the taxonomy of all the Indian Lista. Previously, four species of Lista were reported from India. Herein, two additional species, Lista monticola Yamanaka, 2000 and Lista furciillatusa Wang, Chen and Wu, 2019 are reported for the first time from India. Adults and their genitalia structures are illustrated. A key to the Indian species and a checklist of the global Lista species are provided.

This study aimed to determine the relationship between the adult population and damage rate of Cherry fruit fly, Rhagoletis cerasi L. (Diptera: Tephritidae) harmful on growing cherry in Erzincan province in 2017 and 2018. The main materials of this study were the adult and preadult periods of R. cerasi. Attractive Rebell traps with ammonia salt, stereomicroscope, lancet, etc., were also used. The studies were carried out in 10 orchards, including 5 orchards in Erzincan Central district and 5 orchards in Üzümlü district. According to the results of the study, it was determined that there was a relationship between the adult population and damage rate of Cherry fruit fly. There was a weak or a medium positive correlation (r = 0.457-0.548), and a linear relationship between total adult population density and average damage rate was found in both years.

The current study aimed to determine the DNA damage; variations induced in elemental contents as well as and fatty acids profile in Galleria mellonella male adults body tissues irradiated as pupae with sterilizing and sub sterilizing doses. Data from the present study revealed that DNA damage was directly dependant upon to the irradiation dose. It was found that the free fatty acids declined in males after irradiation with the sub sterilizing dose 100Gy while the free fatty acids raised after irradiation with the sterilizing dose 260Gy when compared to the unirradiated males. The results investigated the presence of 13 elements in both normal and irradiated males. Carbon and nitrogen elements were the most dominant elements; while chloride, silicon and calcium were the least elements. Moreover, some elements increased and others decreased as a result of the irradiation. Therefore, it can be concluded that these techniques can contribute to the separation of irradiated and non-irradiated males in sterile males' programs.

The imaginal stages and eggs of the species Labiobaetis ancoralis Shi and Tong (2014) are first described and photographed based on reared materials from mature nymphs. In addition, its COI gene is sequenced and compared to other species in the same genus. Besides its nymphal labrum with submarginal spatulate-like bristles, abdomen with anchor-shaped markings, its imaginal diagnostic characteristics include slim hindwings with an indistinct costal process, and a cone-like projection between two base-widened forceps. The COI gene sequence of this species is close to L. atrebatinus. The morphological details provided in this research show that the males of the species L. ancoralis, like typical baetids, have reduced hindwings and penes, which have very limited value in classification, but their shapes of forceps can be used in future studies to identify the potentially diverse Chinese Labiobaetis species.
