The aim of Evansia is to provide a vehicle for the presentation and exchange of useful information on North American bryophytes and lichens. Articles are frequently popular in nature rather than technical and are intended to teach and inform both amateurs and professionals. The articles include, but are not restricted to, announcements of and reports on forays and meetings, presentations of techniques and aids for studying and curating lichens, bryophytes, and hepatics; and reports on local floras. Occasionally, articles of broad interest from locations other than North America may be included.
