Abstract

Collections at two sites in central Iowa revealed the unexpected presence of Chaenotheca furfuracea (L.) Tibell and Psilolechia lucida (Ach.) M. Choisy. Searches of available records for lichens collected in Iowa indicate that these species have not previously been reported for Iowa. This report increases the number of lichens known to occur in Iowa to 265 species.
