The new genus Mekongellina from Thailand with the type species Mekongellina sangpradubae is described herein. The genus shows highly modified characters, particularly on head, forelegs and prothorax, together forming a filtering apparatus. It is tentatively attributed to the tribe Brachycercini.

The State Museum of Natural History Stuttgart (SMNS) holds one of the largest and most important insect collections in Germany. True bugs (Heteroptera), with 80.000 specimens at SMNS, have previously received little attention. Here, an annotated type catalogue of the Heteroptera collection is given. Type material of 67 nominal taxa is present at SMNS, among them types of 52 valid species and three valid subspecies. The families Miridae and Cydnidae contribute the largest number of types, but types from seven other families are also represented.

Seven new species of OxytrechusJeannel, 1927 are described: five from Ecuador (O. andersoni Giachino & Allegro n. sp., O. atahualpai Giachino & Allegro n. sp., O. bavierai Giachino & Allegro n. sp., O. fikaceki Giachino & Moret n. sp., and O. sciakyi Giachino & Allegro n. sp.) and two from Colombia (O. floresanus Giachino & Allegro n. sp. and O. ruizianus Giachino & Allegro n. sp.). Oxytrechus equatorianusMateu, 1988 is re-established as a valid species. O. globosusMateu, 1991 and O. convexusMateu, 1991 are redescribed. New distributional data are given for O. balliAllegro, Giachino & Sciaky, 2008, O. belloi Giachino, Allegro & Baviera, 2014, O. llanganatisianusMateu, 1988, O. moretiMateu, 1988, O. onoreiAllegro, Giachino & Sciaky, 2008, O. pierremoretiAllegro, Giachino & Sciaky, 2008 and O. vulcanusMateu, 1988. An identification key is provided for the Oxytrechus species present in the Papallacta-Guamaní area (Ecuador, Pichincha/Napo provinces).

One new species of Henoticus Thomson, 1868, H. acutioculisn. sp., from South Africa is described.

A checklist for the Tenebrionidae (sensu stricto) (Coleoptera) of Borneo with corresponding references is compiled, based on the literature and unpublished records from different collections. Tenebrionidae are considered herein in a historical (typological) sense, excluding the subfamily Alleculinae and those tribes of Lagriinae previously classified in the family Lagriidae. Although the present list contains a total of 999 species from Borneo, it is far from completeness. Distributional patterns within Borneo itself are widely unknown.

New synonyms of the genus ToxocnemaFåhraeus, 1870 (Tenebrionidae: Tenebrioninae: Ulomini) are established: Toxocnema fungicolaKoch, 1953 (Toxocnema fungicolaSchawaller, 2009 n. syn.), Toxocnema quintanilhaiKoch, 1953 (Toxocnema leleupiSchawaller, 2009 n. syn.), Toxocnema rufitarsisFåhraeus, 1870 (Toxocnema neopsectropisKoch, 1953 n. syn.), and Toxocnema thorneiKoch, 1953 (Toxocnema ruthmuelleraeSchawaller, 2009 n. syn.). New locality data are added. The ground dwelling species of Toxocnema are elements in arboreal habitats in eastern South Africa, Swaziland, and southern Mozambique.
