Abstract

The gyr × peregrine (Falco rusticolus × Falco peregrinus) hybrid is the most common falcon treated at Nad Al Shiba Veterinary Hospital in Dubai. To improve the health assessment of individual birds in the population treated at this hospital, we established reference ranges of hematologic values for this hybrid falcon. The hematologic parameters of 96 gyr × peregrine falcons were assessed and compared with other published values for the same hybrid falcon.
