Abstract

Xu, X. and Sun, L., 2020. Shipping container transportation cost adjustment method based on product life cycle. In: Yang, Y.; Mi, C.; Zhao, L., and Lam, S. (eds.), Global Topics and New Trends in Coastal Research: Port, Coastal and Ocean Engineering. Journal of Coastal Research, Special Issue No. 103, pp. 649–653. Aiming at the problem of poor adjustment effect of traditional adjustment methods, a shipping container transportation cost adjustment method based on product life cycle is proposed. Taking a China-EU shipping route as an example, a life-cycle cost decomposition method based on the product level is used to establish an optimization model for the adjustment of shipping costs for container shipping, to obtain the optimal dispatching scheme, and to perform sensitivity analysis on it. The results show that the adjustment model can well reduce the container shipping cost of shipping companies, and propose a reasonable scheduling scheme to provide certain decision support for the shipping company's operating strategy.
