Abstract

Cui, H., 2020. Design of cruise tourism competitiveness evaluation system in port city. In: Yang, Y.; Mi, C.; Zhao, L., and Lam, S. (eds.), Global Topics and New Trends in Coastal Research: Port, Coastal and Ocean Engineering. Journal of Coastal Research, Special Issue No. 103, pp. 1075–1078. Coconut Creek (Florida), ISSN 0749-0208.

The key issue in the development of cruise industry as a new economic growth point relies on the competitiveness of cruise ports. Based on comprehensive consideration of the internal and external conditions of cruise ports, the paper constructs a competitiveness evaluation system of cruise ports. The results show that the ports of developed cities in China have reached a high level, but the level of ports in developing cities is still poor. Furthermore, suggestions on enhancing the competitiveness of cruise ports are put forward, including accurately positioning port functions, improving related supporting facilities, improving service levels and building distinctive port brands.
