The modern river overflow treatment method violates the natural law, seriously damages the water environment such as the river course, and causes the ecological environment to be destroyed. There are many elements about water control in our traditional literature works, and a lot of experience has been accumulated in river overflow treatment. Based on this, this paper puts forward the enlightenment and influence of water control elements in traditional literary works on modern river overflow control. This paper analyzes the relevant historical stages of water control in traditional literary works, so as to fully understand the content of ancient water control elements in China, and introduce them into the modern river overflow treatment, so as to obtain the Enlightenment of modern river overflow control.
