In this paper, the nonlinear dynamics of cracked coastal bridges' cylindrical piers impacted by sea waves are studied. The constitutive model of the materials is proposed where the nonlinearity of the cement's stiffness is considered. The dynamic characteristics of the system subjected to harmonic excitation are analyzed, and the effect of the system's parameters to the stability is discussed. Moreover, the stochastic dynamic responses of the system subjected to random excitation are obtained. The theoretical and numerical results show that there is random Hopf bifurcation occurs in the system, which causes the system's motion switch between the slight oscillation and large-amplitude vibration.
