In the construction of coastal buildings, there are many factors to consider, such as environment, climate, and geology. To ensure the quality of the project, it is necessary to carry out targeted construction countermeasures, by the checking results, to develop a safe and reliable construction plan. Using a Mediterranean coastal construction project as an example, we show the special geological conditions requiring a method for foundation treatment and reinforcement, greater wind load at the seaside requiring tall shuttering formwork engineering, steel cantilever scaffold engineering for calculating the main points of construction, and for a coastal city with great salt fog effect, salt fog prevention measures. It provides useful references for the construction of similar waterfront construction projects.
