Abstract

A new species of Sibon, placed in the Sibon annulatus species group, is described from the Mosquitia region of northeastern Honduras. Within this group, the new species appears most closely related to Sibon dimidiatus. By comparison to S. dimidiatus, the new species can be distinguished by its fewer ventrals, subcaudals, total number of ventrals plus subcaudals, and smaller adult size.
