Abstract

Caupolicana floridana new species is a large bee from the southern part of the Florida peninsula, known from only two areas, Dade County where it may be extinct and Highland County. It is a close relative of C. electa (Cresson) which occurs in the southeastern states including northernmost Florida. Data on seasonal and floral behavior are included.
