Abstract

Although intracranial abscesses are a well-recognized cause of morbidity and mortality in free-ranging white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus), reports of pituitary abscesses in this species are scarce. Pituitary abscesses were the cause of neurologic disease in four adult whitetailed deer from the southeastern US in 2013–15.
