Abstract

Fenusa julia Smith and Eiseman, n. sp., from Colorado is described. It was reared from larvae mining leaves of Rosa woodsii Lindl. (Rosaceae) and is the first record of a leafmining sawfly of Rosa in North America. Notes on the life history and characters to separate if from the closely related Russian rose leafminer, F. ewaldi Smith, are given.
