Drosophila suzukii (Matsamura) is an invasive and polyphagous species native to Southeast Asia, capable of causing severe economic damage to the fruits of its hosts. The first record in Mexico of this Diptera was for the state of Michoacán, subsequently was reported for the states of Colima, Jalisco and Baja California. Sentinel traps with pupae of D. suzukii were placed in areas of blackberry crops to attract its parasitoids. From those traps, specimens of Pachycrepoideus vindemmiae (Rondani) were obtained; this association was already registered in the United States and Europe in cherries and blackberries, but this is the first record for Mexico.
