Abstract

A sand mite species collected from hare, Lepus oiostolus in western part of Sichuan province was described as Gahrliepia (Walchia) szechuanica by Teng (1963). This species is characterized by fp=B.B.BBB, fcx= 1.1.2 and elongated pentagonal scutum with all setae slender. A redescription was carried out with supplement and correction.
