Abstract

ITS1 and ITS2 sequences and a morphological analysis confirm the position of the Andean species Kingiobryum paramicola H. Rob. within the Pottiaceae and the genus Didymodon. It is closely related to Didymodon australasiae and D. umbrosus. A new combination is proposed: Didymodon paramicola (H. Rob.), comb. nov.
