The Commission has conserved the specific name Salmo formosanus Jordan & Oshima, 1919 (currently Oncorhynchus formosanus) for an endemic landlocked salmon in Taiwan by suppression of the senior subjective synonym Salmo saramao Jordan & Oshima in Oshima, 1919.
