Abstract

Based on specimens captured in B-horizon calcareous soils the new species Parareicheia lencinai Ortuño and Magrini (type locality: Caserío de Bernia, Xaló, Alicante Province, Spain) is described and its morphological features compared with the most closely related species. The subgenus Parareicheia Jeannel is raised to genus level (new status) to which it is assigned.
