Abstract

Libotrechus duanensis Lin and Tian, new species, the second species of the cavernicolous carabid genus Libotrechus Uéno, 1998, is described from a limestone cave in Du'an Xian of northern Guangxi province in southern China. Based on the morphological character states of L. duanensis, several supplemental diagnostic characters for the genus Libotrechus are noted. In addition, new distributional records of Libotrechus nishikawai Uéno, 1998 in the Mulun Karst of northernmost Guangxi, together with a distributional map for the genus, is provided.
