Abstract

Coelomera atrocaerulea is reduced to a synonym of Monocesta depressa , new synonymy. This species is transferred to Platycesta Viswajyothi and Clark, new genus, as Platycesta depressa (Clark), new combination. The distribution is from Honduras to Peru. Details of geographic color variation are presented.
