The genus Leptoplectus Casey, 1908 (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Pselaphinae) includes fifteen species. It is known from the Palearctic, Nearctic, Afrotropical, and Oriental regions. A single specimen of Leptoplectus vagans Löbl, 1975 has been documented from the northern part of the Korean Peninsula. In this study, two species, Leptoplectus illex Kurbatov, 1992 and Leptoplectus koreanus Byeon, Jang, Park, Kim, and Park, new species, are reported/described for the first time in Korea. A key to Korean Leptoplectus species, descriptions, illustrations of habitus and diagnostic characters, and a distribution map are provided.
