Timberlakena Pate (1939) is reviewed. The subgenera Mohavena Pate (1939), Riparena Pate (1939) and Timberlakena are raised to generic rank and redescribed. Relationships between the three genera are discussed. Ten new species are described: Mohavena bajaensis, M. emmarieae, M. ericalleni, M. utahensis, M. villegasi, Riparena maculifrons, Timberlakena alboclypeata, T. eburnea, T. hirsuta and T. vitellifrons. A new key to the genera of Ammoplanina and keys to the species of Mohavena, Riparena, and Timberlakena are provided. Faces of male and female specimens and forewing venation of each species are illustrated, as well as a habitus photograph of two species of Mohavena.
