This is the third in a series providing distributional and biological notes on blister beetles (Meloidae) in North and Central America. This paper covers 45 species in the U.S.A., Canada, Guyana, and Mexico in the genera Epicauta Dejean, 1834, Gnathium Kirby, 1818, Linsleya MacSwain, 1951, Lytta Fabricius, 1875, Megetra LeConte, 1859, Meloe Linnaeus, 1758, Phodaga LeConte, 1858, Pseudozonitis Dillon, 1952, Spastonyx Selander, 1954, Tetranoyx Latreille, 1805, and Zonitis Fabricius, 1775. These records include three new country records, 12 new state/provincial records, seven new host records, and numerous range extensions.

A new species of Pulverro Pate, 1937, P. wasbaueri Smith sp. nov., and the previously unknown female of P. mexicanus Smith, 1983 are described. A list of the currently valid species of Pulverro and their synonyms is provided along with revised keys to the males and females of the species.

We provide seven new state (including two new country) records of spiders in the families Agelenidae, Gnaphosidae, Lycosidae, Oxyopidae and Trachelidae from the Madrean Archipelago of Sonora, Mexico. Furthermore, we provide photographs of the copulatory organs of all species studied.

Se proporcionan siete nuevos registros estatales (incluyendo dos nuevos registros nacionales) de arañas en las familias Agelenidae, Gnaphosidae, Lycosidae, Oxyopidae y Trachelidae recolectadas en el Archipiélago Madrense de Sonora, México. Además, proveemos fotografías de los órganos copuladores de las especies estudiadas.

The giant water bug, Lethocerus indicus (Lepeletier & Serville, 1825), is an aquatic true bug that has been included in the Vietnam Red Data Book since 1992 (“ca-cuong” in Vietnamese, “maeng-da” in Laos and Thailand). This insect also has been listed as an endangered species in Japan, Laos, and South Korea. This study aimed to (1) perform a genetic analysis to determine the species status of various populations of L. indicus in Southeast Asia, and (2) initially survey their distribution in Vietnam and Laos. Four populations were collected: two from the Vientiane Capital and Savannakhet Province areas of Laos, and two from the Vinh Phuc and Long An areas of Vietnam, respectively. Cytochrome oxidase subunit I (COI) fragments longer than 600 bps were amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Twelve nucleotide polymorphisms were found among these four populations. A maximum likelihood tree based on COI showed that the genetic distances among populations were very small, ranging from 0.2% to 1.1%, and were substantially distant from other populations of Lethocerus. Therefore, they are all considered to be conspecific and to represent L. indicus.

A new species of Cicatrisphaerion Lingafelter, Morris, Skillman & Santos-Silva, 2021 is described from Belize. Atylostagma glabra Schaeffer, 1909 is synonymized with Atylostagma polita White, 1853. New country and state distributional records are provided for A. polita.

This paper deals with the genus Nipponobuprestis Tôyama, 1986, and one new species from Jiangsu, China is described and illustrated: Nipponobuprestis (Nipponobuprestisia) jurongensis sp. nov.
