Abstract

A new species, Chalarus polychaetus sp. nov., of the genus Chalarus from China is described. Three species, C. angustifrons Morakote, 1990, C. fimbriatus Coe, 1966 and C. longicaudis Jervis, 1992, are recorded from China for the first time. A key to the species of the genus from China is presented.
