The Caribbean Journal of Science began publication in 1961 with the sponsorship of the College of Arts and Sciences of the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez. The Journal is currently administered by the Center for Academic Publications (CePA) of the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez, which is overseen by the office of the dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.
