An annotated bibliography of articles about the southwestern corn borer, Diatraea grandiosella Dyar (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) published from 1977 to 1985 is presented. D. grandiosella, an important pest of maize in Mexico and the southern United States, continues to receive intensive study. This bibliography summarizes available literature that has appeared since a bibliography (1977) and a research bulletin (1979) about the insect were published. The references are arranged into subject-matter sections which reflect the topics that have received recent study.
